How It Works

Why Is Your Business Listed on Global Fashion Directory

GFD lists real businesses in the fashion industry so the right people can find you.

We’re building the most complete global directory of fashion businesses to help the right people find the right partners — faster and with more trust. Whether you joined directly or were added by our team, it’s because we believe your work is worth discovering. We only include businesses that meet a certain standard of visibility and relevance in the industry. If you’re here, it’s because you belong here. Claim your spot, or opt out in minutes.

Two Ways to Get Listed

How businesses end up on GFD and what it means for you.

Verified Profiles

This type of profiles are submitted by the business directly and verified through GFD’s onboarding process. Businesses that choose to join GFD complete a structured onboarding process to submit their own profile details. Each profile is verified by our team before being published to ensure it meets our standards for accuracy, clarity, and relevance to the global fashion industry. To maintain ongoing trust and transparency, all onboarded listings undergo an annual verification process. This includes confirmation of business activity, updated contact details, and compliance with platform-wide policies such as ethical labor, data integrity, and professional conduct. As an onboarded member, you maintain full control over your profile and can update, expand, or remove it at any time. These listings reflect an active relationship with GFD and a shared commitment to credible sourcing, industry accountability, and high-quality engagement. Verified members may also receive increased visibility, matchmaking support, and a digital “Verified Member” badge that can be displayed on their GFD profile, website, or marketing materials.

Curated Profiles

GFD creates these profiles using publicly available business information, such as your website, marketplace profile, or trade directory entry. They are added under our legitimate interest in supporting industry-wide discovery and connection. Each one is reviewed by our team to ensure accuracy and relevance to the fashion sector. We select businesses that demonstrate clear value to the industry, whether through innovation, quality, or specialization, and believe they are worth being found. While they do not imply any commercial relationship with GFD, curated profiles are designed to help businesses gain visibility within the global fashion ecosystem. They ensure qualified companies are discoverable even before onboarding, so buyers, collaborators, and fashion professionals can find the right fit faster. You may request edits, claim your profile, or ask for full removal at any time. GFD honors opt-out requests promptly and complies with all applicable data privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA.

FAQs About Listings

Quick answers on how listings work, who we feature, and
how to manage your profile

What makes GFD more effective than other platforms?

Unlike generic directories that offer basic contact lists, GFD is purpose-built for fashion sourcing. Our profiles are curated by fashion professionals, filters are designed specifically for industry-relevant criteria, and our verification process is conducted through internal editorial review — not automated scraping or third-party certification.
As GFD is currently in the R&D phase, some features (such as lead matching and tiered plans) are still in development. However, our goal is to reduce outreach friction, increase sourcing precision, and support verified discovery for fashion brands and suppliers.

What types of businesses are featured on GFD?

GFD includes verified profiles across all stages of the fashion value chain: apparel manufacturers, fabric and trim suppliers, fashion brands, sourcing agents, sustainability consultants, logistics providers, and creative service firms. We support categories across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, accessories, and more.

Who is GFD built for?

GFD is designed for fashion professionals seeking real, reliable sourcing connections. Whether you’re a brand founder, sourcing manager, consultant, or sustainability lead, GFD helps you skip the noise and connect directly with verified partners. From startups to scaling companies, if you’re serious about supply chain growth, verified leads, and strategic collaboration, GFD is built for you.

How do I get listed on GFD?

We’re currently onboarding fashion businesses as part of our testing phase. If you’re a manufacturer, supplier, service provider, or fashion brand and want to be included, visit our Onboarding page. Participation during this beta stage is free.

Why is my company listed even if I didn’t sign up?

Global Fashion Directory (GFD) is currently in its beta and R&D phase. As part of building a transparent, searchable knowledge base of fashion suppliers, we feature two types of profile listings:
Verified Profile – Submitted directly by the business and verified through GFD’s onboarding process. These listings are managed by the business and include customized, approved details. They are clearly labeled as “Profile submitted by the business and verified through GFD’s onboarding process. Contact us to update or report any issues.”
Curated Profile – Created by GFD Editors using publicly available business data (e.g., company websites, trade shows directories). These listings help improve discoverability of qualified suppliers and are clearly labeled “Profile created by GFD Editors using public business data. Contact us to edit or remove.”
Inclusion in the directory does not imply endorsement or a commercial relationship. If your business is listed and you’d like to edit, verify, or remove your profile, contact us anytime at support@globalfashiondirectory.com. We respond to all requests in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(f), CCPA, and applicable regulations.

How can I remove my business from GFD?

You can request removal or changes to your listing by emailing us at support@globalfashiondirectory.com . We’re committed to maintaining accurate information and will respond promptly in line with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

How does GFD verify businesses and ensure data accuracy?

GFD is currently in its R&D phase. As part of this development, we maintain two types of profile listings: verified and curated. All profiles undergo internal review to ensure clarity, relevance, and consistency. While GFD verifies business information for editorial consistency and category fit, this does not constitute legal validation, certification, or endorsement. All data is subject to periodic review, and businesses can request updates or corrections at any time.

Is GFD right for small businesses or startups?

Yes — GFD is built to serve small-to-midsize brands, manufacturers, and service providers. We’re currently testing our platform with early-stage and underrepresented businesses to ensure accessibility, relevance, and value for everyone in the sourcing ecosystem.
